Abstract: This article examines the distinctive literary qualities of epigram A.P. 9.363, traditionally attributed to Meleager of Gadara, focusing on the ongoing debates regarding its authorship, generic classification, and poetic innovation. Through a detailed analysis of its structure, stylistic devices, and imagery, the article reveals the poem’s strategies of adopting and revising the established conventions of traditional Greek spring poetry, with particular focus on its enumerative method and formal innovations, that ultimately distinguish A.P. 9.363 within the context of Hellenistic poetry.
