Abstract: Ileana Mălăncioiu’s poetry opens the discussion of poetry reception teleology naturally falling within the reader’s ontological scope. The poet adds to the inherent confession, the exteriority she integrates in her own scriptural body that becomes the Body par excellence. Ileana Mălăncioiu ensures – through her dual membership in poetry, also assumed and given by social involvement of the personal identity endorsed here in the idea of political freedom equal to the inner freedom – the moral and aesthetic element of continuity, so necessary for a nation’s development. A two-way road is thus established: from life into poetry and vice versa – which allows a continuous exchange. It’s not a small thing to forge a common coin, where the head is taken from the empirical reality and the tails comes from poetry, with regenerative powers.

Keywords: Ileana Mălăncioiu, confessional poetry, social implication, reception teleology
